Clinic News

MedNOW Clinics in Aurora has now placed 10 probuphine implants in patients.  Probuphine is a buprenorphine implant placed in a patient's arm which provides treatment for opiate use disorder and opiate addiction.  Patients are falling in love with the implant which lasts for six months or longer and takes away the need to take a daily medication.  While daily medication can be lost or forgotten, the implant is always there, providing the treatment that patients with opiate use disorder and opiate addiction need.  The procedure to place the implant is quick - it can be done at a 20 minute office visit, and relatively painless, using only a small amount of local anesthesia.

Leyden Street Clinic Update
We are now giving flu shots. No appointment is needed. Just walk in or ask for a flu shot at your next appointment.
MedNOW Clinics and ARCH Detox are pleased to announce that we are now administering probuphine implants for opiate use disorder.  For patients stabilized on buprenorphine at a dose of 8 mg or less per day, the implant can be a great alternative.  The implant is placed here at our office under the skin of the upper arm.  The medication in the implant lasts for 6 months at which time a new implant needs to be placed.  The implant offers several advantages over the oral form of buprenorphine.  There is no daily medication to take. The implant cannot be lost or stolen.  Also the implant cannot be inadvertently taken by children.  Most insurances are covering the cost and placement of the implant.  Call our clinic today for more details.
MedNOW Cllinics is pleased to announce extended hours at our S. Logan Street Clinic.  We are now open from 7 am to 6 pm Monday through Thursday and 8 am to 4 pm on Fridays.  We hope that these extended hours will offer you better access to our providers for all of your health care needs.
